It’s probably mean to keep dragging this piece but

a) the P-51 was a design 4 years in the making

b) The notion that the US avoided extraordinarily costly defense projects with massive cost overruns is disproven by the B-29, which cost more to develop and produce than the Manhattan Project

I don’t think it’s good that we have an entire class of media elites who believe that people getting mad at them means they’re doing a good job, but identifying that makes me wonder if it’s actually better to not get mad at them and deprive them of what they want.

Also they ran just incredibly awful commentary with incredibly shawty evidence (which I’m sure will become feature at CBS now). For example, the author of this piece claimed the Allies won WWII with inferior technology minus the atomic bomb lol

The US never fought to end fascism anywhere. They joined the war because Japan forced their hand, and they saw a great way to make money. After the USSR pretty much had pushed Germany out of eastern Europe and they knew the nazis were going to lose, they jumped in.
