#nzpol Raise your voices loud Aotearoa New Zealand because this is definitely not OK. These people have suffered enough. They have already been put through far too much for what will be meager symbolic compensation. Some are so ill they're dying while they wait. This govt is utterly disgusting.

That the House of Representatives urge the Government to withdraw the Regulatory
Standards Bill from the legislative programme.
Petition reason
I am petitioning the House because nearly every submission on the Regulatory Standards Bill opposed it, yet the Government plans to pass it anyway. I believe this shows disregard for public participation and democratic integrity. I think the Government is ignoring the 98.7 percent of submitters who oppose the bill and cannot be trusted to listen. I feel that Parliament must act to restore public trust by urging the Government to withdraw this Bill.

We have a history. Why not inform, discuss, and encourage? I think this is the most significant thing the current govt has tried to tamper with and blot out. Most of their actions stem from this.

We are deeply concerned about major cuts to funding for Māori news and current affairs programmes Te Karere and The Hui, by Te Māngai Pāhō.

This is terrible for Māori media, and sadly consistent with this Government’s continual undermining of Māori culture.

Has anyone grown Hokkaido squash? Also know as red kuri and Potimarron. I have some seeds from Kings, but I am in Tāmaki Makaurau and I am wondering if it is too late to plant them. My Austrian friends love this variety - it is pretty to grow & delicious roasted. #nzgardens, #aotearoagardens

I'm philosophically at odds with born again sibling, probably the other one as well, and lots of friends. And I feel a bit resentful. I shouldn't have to counter their rubbish with facts, when I can find them. Why can't they go looking?

I keep thinking about my parents. Both pre-WW2 & went through a lot. But life was good post war& my boomer brothers& husband had a lucky childhood. I grew up in a "blue"electorate & Dad was a solicitor. But he detested Muldoon, shook his head over Bastion Point & would never have voted for this lot

EEK!! A live hornet nest has just been found (and destroyed) in Auckland. This is a big species of stinging wasp. We really don't want these to establish.

Please keep an extra careful eye out for unusual wasps, especially if you're in the Auckland area.

These coverage quirks are still a thing? The organisation I worked for in the '90's had to apply to the PSA to be covered. It wasn't until someone applied for extended sick leave for open heart surgery that we all found out we were not "entitled" to anything at all.

I can't describe how sad and offended I am that innocent kids are being fed toxic slop for lunch and the ACT party are celebrating it. It's inexcusable. I hope they survive and thrive in spite of it, and remember.
