Amazing how as soon as Milla gives Jude the pendant as a token of friendship, they are suddenly married. Milla exhibits jealousy when Jude speaks highly of others. Jude and Ivar get into a dick measuring contest over Milla. Jude keeps Leia at a distance while flirting with Milla.

Today we stopped playing Xillia after Milla blew up her legs. I honestly forgot how much darker the game is from Milla’s POV. You’ve got her willing to sacrifice Elize and Driselle if necessary while watching someone else die. There’s a lot more death in her route…

Queer modern fairy tale with a female knight, female king, and dragons. I thought it was the weakest of the modern fairy tales I read (prose not as lush, story more predictable), but still enjoyable. What’s not to like about ladies + dragons?

The autosave is also just one of the things that's making the game comically easy. I accidentally accepted all the extra items the remaster offered because I thought it was just silly costumes for the characters. Turns out it gave me 900,000 gald and other items, too. Hate it. Absurd.

Another problem is the new autosave. It autosaves after EVERY BATTLE and it's horrible. You'll level up, get new skills and GP for the Lilium Orb, and want to go to the menu right away to set those things. But because it's autosaving, you have to wait three seconds to be able to open the menu.

Basically some FPS issue makes the skits take forever to trigger. I left the game running in Hamil while I went to the bathroom and got something to drink so the Echo skit would load. The skits are the BEST PART! Seems I'll have to stand around in each area to trigger them.

Then we got to Hamil, where one of our favorite skits (Echo, between Jude and Alvin) happens. The skit didn't trigger. We came back after going to Nia Khera. The skit still didn't trigger. After playing for about 7 hours now, it's also becoming clearer what absolutely sucks about this "remaster."

The biggest is the skits. I had noticed almost immediately that something seemed off about the skits — they seemed slightly delayed.

My biggest question is how the real Maxwell created a human baby. Since it's definitely clear Milla appeared as a baby out of nowhere with the four Great Spirits in tow.

I still love these dorks. We're playing Milla's route just because on the PS3 version, we played Jude's route twice and Milla's only once. I'm paying more attention to how Milla is just a human
