We cannot let our history die because of maga. This happened in Arkansas. It’s a tragedy if we let these people’s murders slip out of consciousness.

In 1959, 69 black boys (ages 13 to 17) were locked in dormitories at the Wrightsville Industrial School for Black Boys.
A mysterious fire broke out at night while they slept. 21 of them died, and 48 managed to escape by prying open the wire mesh on the windows. It was the worst fire on record in Arkansas history.
The boys were committed for a variety of reasons. Some were orphans or homeless. Others were there for petty crimes. One boy named William Piggy rode a white boy's bicycle, even though his mother said it was OK.
"The science of preserving a crime scene existed in 1959. Yet, the morning these boys were killed, they dismantled the entire scene with hoses, rakes and shovels. They tore it apart like they were trying to cover something up," said Frank Lawrence, whose brother (Lindsay Cross) died in the fire.
A grand jury found several individuals and institutions responsible, but ultimately no criminal charges were filed.

This is sad and dangerous. Rural Arkansas has already lost doctors in the bigger cities. No one wants to stay and put up with abuse from the ignorant.

Boyle: Mike Johnson and House Republicans have decided to do their own version of quiet quitting — they canceled session three weeks ago, they canceled session two weeks ago, and they’ve now canceled it last week and this week.

There is clearly no strategy there other than pure, sheer laziness

Reminder that any political party trying to make it harder to vote is sending a clear message: they can't win on their ideas alone.

This move isn’t about helping troops, it’s about testing how far executive power can stretch. If left unchallenged, it sets a dangerous precedent where any president could redirect funds for political ends. Congress must act, or risk losing one of its most essential powers.

The Constitution gives Congress, not the president, the power of the purse. By attempting to reprogram federal funds without approval, Trump is directly challenging that separation of powers. This violates the Impoundment Control Act, the very law passed after Nixon’s abuses of budget authority.

This is unconstitutional and illegal. A memorandum doesn’t grant anyone the power to override the Constitution.

Trump has signed an order expanding his administration’s authority to redirect unspent federal funds to pay members of the military during the government shutdown,

I am sounding the alarm that the GOP is engaged in an all out attack voting rights and free and fair elections. Voter suppression, gerrymandering, and troops in blue cities are just some of the ways they are using to try to rig the rules to keep power in 2026 and beyond.

Pay attention and act!

I hope this leads to an explosion of deep-dive journalism on the Pentagon, including recent attacks on boats near Venezuela and DoD ties to Silicon Valley, fueled by anger at being tossed from the Pentagon and aided by sympathetic folks inside the building who value a free press

Trump must love King George III. Why else copying his actions that spawned a revolution to rid a newly formed America from him.

I hate to say this, and most of you probably already know, but be prepared for mysterious bad actors to show up to No Kings protests and start trouble. The right needs to make the protestors look bad, so they will send fake Antifas to start violence and destroy things. It's their standard playbook.

ICE arrested comedian Robby Roadsteamer for singing a parody of Rod Stewart’s “Do Ya Think I’m Sexy” in a Jeffrey Epstein the Giraffe costume outside their facility.

He sings “If you hate brown people / and you are a Nazi” and ICE thugs grab him and drag him into detention. No violence—just speech.
