Although I see “slop” here as in “AI slop” — even if they didn’t originally intend that, that’s how I’m choosing to read it, with the negative association of AI slop oozing over into these uses of slop.

Just saw reference to national non-local chains like Chipotle and Sweetgreen as offering “slop bowls” and I like this extension of “slop” and look forward to its wider application.

I feel like the push to accept interstates in the 1950s is similar to the push to accept AI; both have torn at societal fabric — we have not yet recovered from all the damage done by destroying downtowns and surrounding neighborhoods.

My entire life I have been unaware of the UK’s Carry On franchise: listening to @mikemuncer.bsky.social & Susan Calman talk about it at length on the Evolution of Horror podcast, I feel like I’ve fallen into a complete alternate timeline. How can something so big and broad have escaped my worldview?
