I haven’t played the game, I don’t have a real opinion, but on paper there’s no reason an honest portrayal of the odds can’t be mean or cruel. 1 in 1024 odds are inherently unkind- being honest about that can still be mean.

don’t get me wrong, RE1 vs REmake and RE3 vs REmake 3 are instances where both versions of the game are interesting, the old ones maybe have more personality but the new ones aren’t without merit. but RE2 is a fucking all time game and REmake 2 cannot compare
