Let me link you to this thread that gives you a few options you can try out, from extending Windows 10 protection services to a way to potentially bypass some of Microsoft's arbitrary requirements and install Windows 11 anyways.

There are several options but here's the short version:

You can extend your support for Windows 10 for an extra year while you go over your options long term, BUT it will require signing up for a Microsoft account even if you take the paid option.

PLEASE DO NOT RUN WINDOWS 10 UNSUPPORTED.

Okay good to know. That was something I was concerned about. I have two friends who have older laptops who just can't afford to upgrade (and one I'm worried about as they need a lot of work to do to before even trying to do so).

Sorry - I thought this method was different as it's essentially setting you up to change your version of Windows 10 in order to get 3 years out of ESU instead of just 1.

Oof. Sorry to hear.

To be fair, my sister and one of my friends also had to have theirs removed (my friends in an emergency situation) and they're doing just fine without it.

The only thing you'll need to worry about is dairy and heavily fried foods... but even then it's an inconvenience.
