In the past 17 years I have survived almost losing my son at birth, my Graves disease, death of Father, Wife's #BreastCancer and double Mastectomy, my son's Stage 4 #BrainCancer and a sever case of #Covid.
I will get through this. It's what I do.
I'm a Gen X German/Irish kid from a reservation.

I have missed entire weeks of work where I just lay in bed and shake and tremble and moan in pain, so I am on FMLA to use as needed.
My job has been incredible and I will be switching to all days starting in November. My two 11 hour days where I see 36 plus clients a day will go away.

Started medication for the tremors.
Botox for the drooling upcoming
MRI scheduled.
In December I have an EG EEG Ambulatory where I get to have small electrodes hooked to my scalp for 3 days to upload my brain activity to a little recorder I will wear like a Star Trek Tricorder.
Fun.

I have Adrenaline rushes followed by a Dopamine crashes. Talking to Doctor about getting an Apomorphine injection. It is a dopamine Agonist used for sudden "off" episodes. It will act as Dopamine and help me "rebound" quicker off the episodes.

The scariest part for me is cognitive slips. I pride myself on my intelligence. I may swear, a lot, but I'm smart. Losing some of that, my identity so to speak, is the scariest part. Hoping that we can slow or reverse progression as more tests are done and answers are found.

Parkinsonism refers to any condition that involves the types of movement problems seen in Parkinson's disease. These problems include tremors, slow movement, and stiffness
I have the following symptoms:
Decrease in facial expressions
Stiffness
Tremor
Confusion and memory loss (I lose words)

I have secondary #Parkinsonism.
Secondary Parkinsonism is when symptoms similar to #Parkinsonsdisease are caused by certain medicines, a different nervous system disorder, or another illness.
Mine was triggered by my Graves Disease and the radiation iodine used to treat it.

For the better part of a year, my symptoms related to my #Gravesdisease have been increasing. Tremors, stuttering, brain fog, drooling, talking in my sleep, joint pain and bursts of energy. These have been very unpredictable and were my reason for stepping aside from SiouxperCon.
