The newspaper comic strip Krazy Kat, created by George Herriman, premiered on October 28, 1913. The characters had previously appeared as a side strip to The Dingbat Family. Krazy Kat ran until Herriman’s death in 1944.

It's a little gloomy in SoCal today, but I'm assuming it's the last hurrah for the roses this year, and figured we all cd use a break in the doomscrolling.
Take your moment where you can; we'll need you in the months ahead. Blessings.

An "outside the bedroom window" pot o' roses. Spreading out nicely in the two years it's been here, with well over a dozen pink&red flowers against green foliage.
A starter pot of geraniums sits to its right, and a hose I'll be using today to do the full-yard watering in a few minutes.
NEVER buy a pot of geraniums unless you need a wide coverage instantly, by the way. Any snapped-off 6-inch color you like can be propogated with stickin' it in soil and watering it twice a day for 3 weeks. I've a 30-ft wall of 5-ft high purples along to my left, here, started just that way. Do be aware that purples tend to spread and reds tend to mound, to get the affect you're wantin'.

We've reached that point in the week where we would all benefit by seeing pictures of baby bats eating bananas.

At the top, two baby bats facing directly into the camera and eating bits of banana. The left one produces a "big smile" effect with a slice, while the right seems to be paused with his mouth over-filled.
At bottom we have two who have no interest in interaction with anything but da fruit, the one on the left eating a slice, while the one on the right is trying to ingest the entire dang banana.
All are held in comfy towels.
