I fell asleep on downstairs couch and the cat that's claimed me as territory (Lightning, upstairs cat, aka my brave sweet little protecter) came into fraught territory to find me. My SO caught the moment I woke up and we looked at each other.
My hair sort of looks like I'm close to Lightning.

White woman (and/or goblin) with sleep face/Van de Graaff hair propping herself up on a brown leather couch to be eye-to-eye with a tortoise/calico cat with a white chest flair and little French manicure matching toes.

They are really nice! And in the Interpol program, sometimes astoundingly nice (got a full apartment in top of old Boston clocktower!) But only because they gave away all their points.
Maybe the best timeshare I've ever heard about, and still a money vacuum...
But they have such comfy everything.

My folks (died in '19) had a Mariott linked timeshare (you have no idea how much I objected) and using points from that I've stayed at Marriotts across the US and further, and never once have I heard the folks working there not say 'Mary-yaught.' Not once.

I wish I could communicate to everyone how much the journal 'Nature' does not publish things lightly.

Coming from a bio lab at Cal, the goal was always to publish in 'CNS' - Cell, Nature, Science
It is immensely difficult and uncommon.

The editors of the CDC’s Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report (MMWR) were apparently fired today.

The precursor to MMWR began in 1878 to address emerging public health threats rapidly.

We are not “great” without it. We are vulnerable to threats from sporadic foodborne illness to bioterrorism.
