I see my great uncle Jakob in every person arrested and terrorized by #ICE.

I see that, left unchecked, NO ONE is safe from such lawless cruelty.

My paternal grandmother came to this country from Poland in the 1920s, seeking a better life for herself, her siblings, & her future family. She left a brother behind. In 1939, after the Nazis invaded Poland, she lost touch with him.

To this day we don’t know what happened to him/his family.
