The San Diego Police Department is reporting no arrests related to the No Kings protests! Amazing work, everyone. It’s great to see police departments across the country sharing similar updates, peaceful protests everywhere.

NYPD announces that zero arrests were made at the massive No Kings protests today after Republicans spent days claiming the protestors are violent terrorists.

Any American medium that fails to cover the largest protests in American history is failing in the basic mission of informing the public about the facts.

This is a blatant attempt to silence and isolate us. He’s stopping the trains, closing the freeways and firing live rounds into California. We will not be intimidated. We will not be silenced. #NoKings
One of the few things Southern Californians of all political stripes agree on is the traffic does not need to get any worse. Yet I-5 will be closed for a needless live fire exercise, when Pendleton has plenty of ways to show off that don't include endangering trade or transport routes. #NoKings

Them: You don't look autistic

Me: You don't see it because my autism mostly affects me. I've spent most of my life painstakingly minimizing the impact it has on others... so now it has no effect on you at all, but my life is indescribably more difficult and exhausting

I don't know whether this has been discussed by anyone yet, but the meta-analysis that claims to find a relationship between acetaminophen and autism: ehjournal.biomedcentral.com/articles/10....

Here's how it reported the results for the largest study. This study carries massive weight...

Autism is not a "disease" or "epidemic".

Autism has a strong genetic component.

There is no evidence that vaccinees or Tylenol cause autism.

Access to autism diagnostics have dramatically increased as reported rates increased.

Neither Trump nor RFK Jr are scientists or medical professionals.

Whether they're blaming vaccines and Tylenol, or selling dubious "remedies," what they're really doing is promoting the perception that families (and especially mothers) can prevent and treat Autism. And thus also the perception that people with Autism and their families don't need social support.
Today's news cycle was exhausting. There are far worse things in life than being autistic. For example, you could be gullible enough to believe that anything RFKJr says is actually evidence based.

You guys, so many Romance girlies are reading "On Tyranny" that they've broken the Goodreads recommendations algorithm. 10/10; no notes.

Vaccines don't cause birth defects and that includes COVID vaccines.

And thanks to Carol Hayes of American College of Nurse Midwives for speaking up at the ACIP meeting

The questions from and behavior of RFK Jr.‘s ACIP is the most egregious and dangerous display of science denialism I’ve ever personally witnessed.

The harm to the United States is incalculable.

After reviewing the ACIP presentations that were made available online and listening to public comments, ACIP has no scientific grounds whatsoever to make the changes to the vaccine schedule that they are proposing.

The truth of RFK Jr.’s ACIP will be fully revealed in the next few minutes.

I just tuned into today’s ACIP meeting solely to hear public comments. They are all kicking ass. And I just heard the amazing @drjudystone.bsky.social explain why we

MUST. PROTECT. VACCINES.

One of the saddest things is when children have cancer, immune deficiency or need bone marrow or organ transplants.

And to add insult to injury, they’re unable to receive vaccines.

But YOU can do your part to help protect them by immunizing yourself & your family.

We are ALL in this together.

New Mexico's economy is a fraction of the size of New York City's.

If they can enact universal childcare — and relieve working families of a crushing cost burden — surely we can too.

It's just a question of political will.
New Mexico will be the first state to make child care free
The program, which is expected to save families $12,000 per child annually, is available to all residents regardless of income.

GOOD NEWS! For the FIRST time ever, and after MORE THAN 30 YEARS of HIV vaccine clinical trials, researchers have developed a vaccine that has SUCCESSFULLY generated TIER 2 broadly neutralizing antibodies (bnAbs) against HIV and BLOCKS viral infection in vaccinated PEOPLE.
