Retired in beautiful Maine. Will not obey in advance. Firmly believe that an American President is not a king and neither are his buddies.

If the answer is no to either of these questions, maybe you shouldn’t be commenting on the Maine Senate race.
So if you find yourself having big feelings that you need to express about who should be the candidate to run against Susan Collins in Maine, ask yourself if you know what a dooryard is and if you’ve ever used the word dooryard in a sentence.

Look, I prefer Platner also, but these Mills conspiracy theories are ridiculous. She's running because she thinks she can beat Collins & would make a good senator. It's not some kind of anti-Platner plot.
Mainers, just vote for the candidate you prefer. All the other stuff is just divisive noise.
Uh… what about the J6 rioters? They did a hell of a lot more than just berate the police officers.
Mike Johnson: "They berated a Capitol police officer, screamed at him. He was merely standing his post. It shows, again, their disdain for law enforcement, the Democrats, screaming, assaulting officers."
Not serious, eh?
Q: This has been reported for a while. Cory Mills was accused of beating a girlfriend in his DC apt. Are you concerned about these allegations?

JOHNSON: You have to ask Rep. Mills about that. He's been a faithful colleague. I don't know the details. Let's talk about things that are really serious
There will be a rank choice primary with the half dozen or so candidates who are in the race. Plus, it really isn’t last minute. The primary is not until next June.
These “young Republicans” are vile. Just vile.
POLITICO: “.. They referred to Black people as monkeys and ‘the watermelon people’ and mused about putting their political opponents in gas chambers. They talked about raping their enemies .. and lauded Republicans who they believed support slavery.

I've never backed down from a bully and I never will.

Donald Trump is ripping away health care from millions, driving up costs, and giving corporate CEOs massive tax cuts. And Susan Collins is helping him.

My life’s work has prepared me for this fight—and I'm ready to win.

A federal judge said "DHS, you cannot legally put this language into a grant." So what DHS did is... keep putting that language in grants — but with a new disclaimer saying it would only apply if the court order was struck down.

The judge was NOT happy.
Judge William Smith (W. Bush appointee): The Government has done "precisely what the ... [court's] Order forbids."

The case is Illinois v. FEMA

On Wednesday, we'll publish an updated catalogue of such judicial decisions on noncompliance with court orders at @justsecurity.org at the link below:

Trump just bombed six more people in the Caribbean, for a total of 27 civilians who have been killed so far by the US military. It’s illegal for the military to target civilians who do not pose an immediate threat. This is murder.

In a social media post, the president said the people aboard a boat were suspected of smuggling drugs for an unspecified group his team had labeled terrorists.

The toxic misogyny has been a reliable throughline of the Trump Era since 2015.
Trump ignores a question from a woman reporter but says, "I just like to watch her talk. Good job. Thank you darling."

But they won’t pay their fair share of taxes, or give up a disproportionate tax cut that us in their favor. They just make wild claims that they are willing to pay for the trendy thing of the day
Trump: "I had a very wealthy person who called -- a donor, a great gentleman -- and he said, 'if there's any money necessary, shortfall, for the paying of the troops, then I will pay it.' Meaning he will pay it. How about that?"

It would be a big mistake to think that anybody could ever convince Governor Mills to do something she had not determined was right for her to do in the first place. If anything, she is her own person to a fault. She often charts her own path, driving various Dems crazy sometimes.
Say whaaaaa?
Eric Trump: "We're saving Christianity. We've saving God. We've saving the family unit. We're saving this nation. I mean, DEI is out of the window, Benny. You no longer have Colin Kaepernick kneeling for the national anthem. You no longer have Budweiser going woke as hell. All of this is dead."

Meiselas: How do you see yourself in that race versus Graham Platner?

Mills: We’ve run people against Susan Collins before, and she won because we ran people who were untested… I’m the only one in the race who’s actually won an election

When asked to name senators he admires, your bro Platner named only white men, including Josh Hawley.

ProPublica obtained records from the Department of Agriculture that detail the 94 million pounds of food, down to the number of eggs, that never reached food banks because of the #Trump administration’s cuts to The Emergency Food Assistance Program.

A hallmark of Trump related enterprises throughout the years and even decades has been the idea that distinction between true and false fact fiction actually don’t exist.

He always has tended to simply assert what is useful or convenient or easy as truth
Pope Leo quotes Hannah Arendt:

“The ideal subject of totalitarian rule is not the convinced Nazi or the convinced Communist, but people for whom the distinction between fact and fiction and the distinction between true and false no longer exist."

One of Trump’s few consistent positions is pro-corruption.
Trump calls on the Israeli President to pardon Benjamin Netanyahu:

"Cigars and champagne - who the hell cares about it?"

Netanyahu is currently on trial for bribery, fraud, and breach of trust, including allegedly accepting 700,000 shekels (approx. $210,000) worth of luxury goods in bribes.
