This is some disturbing ICE Gestapo footage. They point guns at citizens and threaten to shoot them. They punch a guy in the back of the head repeatedly when he’s down and already subdued, then later slam his head into the side of their vehicle.

This took place on 10/31/2025 in Evanston, IL.

Yes it's an extreme example but also a real one. I don't advocate a return to anything like that but it does show that wealthy individuals and corporations can easily shoulder an additional tax burden even slightly above what they are currently paying.

In the 1960's public services were well funded, the top tax rates were 97.5% for individuals and 45% for corporations. Now it's 45% and 25% respectively and public services are crumbling. Who is 'we' exactly?
