I’m unfortunately screwed on both fronts because heart disease runs in my family but I’m addressing it! (Taking meds, having a good diet, working out lots) and due to our Covid cautious life I’m a bit isolated these days.
I’m fascinated by the argument that there’s a section of “the left” that will never vote for Dems no matter what you give them cause they are spiteful but moderate republicans who always vote for trump are reasonable and will definitely switch if you cater to them.
Nooooooo literally I get scared if I forget a regular word but you know sometimes you just can’t think of something it doesn’t mean dementia. It’s my worst fear.
Now that I’ve found out 2 people in my extended family has dementia I’m starting to panic about the future of my health. Heart issues I had accepted and I’m working to mitigate. How do you mitigate dementia.

Success comes in the shape of a pyramid. There’s only one PM and one Air NZ CEO at a time. Most people are working to pay bills and exist. We have over-index on the idea that everyone can slowly work through the steps to success and eventually be on top. It’s a myth.
Luxon judges everyone by his life where he probably got corporate assistance to move. And he overplays his abilities and underplays his luck. I have lived similarly to him and luck has played a much bigger part than my abilities. He is completely out of touch from the average kiwi worker.
When you lose your job you can’t just get up and go where the jobs are. You may have a lease or a mortgage. Kids in school. And what happens when you do move and get laid off from the new job? This is not realistic in the real world with regular jobs.

They are a right wing party that has had CGT in their election manifesto and talk about it enough that they should be pulled up on why they are so bad at it. Also they want the left vote so I want to constantly remind that they don’t deserve it
