Calypso (fake name) is a D&D NPC from Captain Faustus Dendarson's backstory. She has elf ears, shoulder-length blonde hair, and tan skin. Her bright yellow eyes match the eye motif present throughout her design, including the large stylized eye on the hood covering her right eye. Her dark purple cloak resembles a pair of wings. Under the cloak, she wears a light purple tunic with a black belt, black tights, long black gloves with brown fingerless gloves over them, and brown boots. She is tossing a golden dagger in the air with her left hand and holding her messenger snake in the right. The snake is green with blue extremities and has a cobra hood with the same eye pattern as Calypso. Its wings are spread out and its tongue is tasting the air.

Thasha, the Queen of Sharks, a D&D NPC from Captain Faustus Dendarson's backstory. On paper, she is a sea elf, although she has a lot of merfolk qualities like fish-scaled skin and fin-like ears. Her base skin color is a teal with pale yellow inner sections (face, tummy, inner thigh) and darker teal limbs. She has white hair in a ponytail, red and yellow eyes, as well as a red mark under her left eye and another large red scar on her left forearm. She's wearing red and black stylized beachwear consisting of a scaled bikini top and long torn skirt tied at the end to resemble a fish tail. In her right hand is a trident with a spectral chain that wraps around her left forearm and ends in an anchor.

Sareti Corhaven the Dhampir with his companion Elde. Sareti is a young adult male who is half Shadar-Kai elf and half vampire. He has black hair that goes past his shoulders, red eyes with bags, and pale skin. His attire consists of a double-buttoned vest, open dress shirt, pants, boots, and hands wrapped in red bandages. Around his neck is both a collar and a locket with a heart on it. Behind him is a spectral entity that looks like a woman in a veil, but her arms are crossed over her blood-stained chest and the veil ends in large cloth-like hands. Under her tattered dress are tentacle-like appendages instead of legs.

an angry review for a recipe for egg tarts. the reviewer, moira, substituted the eggs with banana and was upset that it tasted bad. the author of the recipe replies saying sometimes you have to acknowledge that a banana isn't an egg, yknow?

RIP Drew Struzan - a man whose talent and imagination etched onto so many minds throughout the last 40+ years.

His art & posters are some of the first visuals I think of when I think about cinema - an invitation to watch these stories and worlds.

What a talent, over so many decades, touching people's lives and imaginations even before they got to see the movies themselves.

I'm no illustrator, even when I could draw I was never great at it, but he inspired me and when I'm imagining the cover art for a campaign, its always in his style.

Who was Drew Struzan? Well, the bets are that if you had a favourite movie poster from the 70s, 80s, 90s or 00s there's a good chance he had a hand in it.

Go look, and even if he didn't paint your favourite he almost certainly painted several that make you jump out of your seat and point.

Oh my god..... I'm so sad, I feel like this guy only just retired recently, one of the greatest artists ever. The documentation about how he went about designing and illustrating his posters taught me so much. Go read up on it, as an artist you gotta. 😔

My niece is still being taught cursive, or was at her Primary School.

It's absolutely wild that she has my handwriting. I pointed it out to my parents, in a card for Dad's birthday; it's not remotely close to her mum or dad's handwriting, but almost identical to mine at that age.

But being wildtouched, even in a seemingly minor way is all too often a death sentence, and not just for the afflicted.

Hunters brave the Wilds to catalogue new species for the competing Great Almanacs, and explore the too-large ruins from the World Before for a hint of real history.

Well, yes; the Unravelling created the Wilds and the surges. Border communities are under constant threat of being mutated or annihilated, but the riches within the Wilds and the heart of the continent are too great to ignore.

Whole new species are created when a wildtouch is stable.

It rarely is.
