Israel formally admits to restricting aid to Palestinian civilians

By formally notifying the United Nations that it will restrict humanitarian assistance to Gaza to pressure Hamas to locate and release the bodies of slain captives, Israel is openly admitting it’s weaponising aid – a claim it has long denied.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defence Minister Yoav Gallant are facing war crimes charges at the International Criminal Court, including for using starvation as a weapon of war.

But for the past two years, Israel has been promoting falsehoods to deny the accusation, including unfounded claims that Hamas is stealing the aid and the baseless argument that UN agencies are failing to deliver it.

Today’s notification to the UN appears to be an admission of using humanitarian aid for military and political aims.

Speculation on anyone's trans journey - as common as this practice is - is often unwise, and maybe even a little offensive. Whether you're fascinated with someone because you love them or you hate them, theorising based on "clues" about such a vulnerable personal thing is icky.

This is me in 2017, and I'm posting it as proof that I didn't "just discover" lipstick or long hair or whatever. A weird part of my being slightly public facing is that a surprising number of people have speculated a made-up timeline for my transition. I find it weird and invalidating of NBs.

I miss Huckleberry so much. What a gem of a cat. Most of the footage in this was from different days going on walks and being nervous but determined. The ending was shot for the video, the second he saw Neilly he ran towards her all purrs. Huck loved walks and really really loved Neilly.

Like fair enough if you're leveling it at a cross sectional study trying to prove casualty, that shouldn't have made it through peer review, but most of the time I don't see it used that way. I see it used by people who don't understand epidemiology or statistics who want something combative to say.

Israel is not a Jewish homeland. Look what they're doing on Yom Kippour! Having the IDF intercept peace boats full of food for starving children. It does not get more blatant. They cannot claim Israel is the Jewish homeland while they block aid for starving children on Yom Kippour.
