Federal officials telling social media companies to take down posts was supposedly a free speech crisis. It’s not even really hypocrisy, since the right was lying about much of it.
And this isn’t misinformation, foreign influence ops, or public health, just 1A-protected speech the govt doesn’t like.

Precinct has announced the commencement of a 638-bed purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) development at 256 Queen Street, Auckland

It will be completed for the 2029 academic year with Icon constructing the tower.

I literally just turned in a round of edits to my editor at Bloomsbury for my book about the founding of JPL and the Suicide Squad, and this is painful to see.

JPL has been responsible for some of our most incredible achievements in science, and this is going to set us back.

I’ve curated Insta to be a fun place for me, a combination of motorcycles, lesbian stuff, geek stuff, with travel and interior design and apartments, etc alongside. It’s a nice escapist place for me to enjoy those things. Yes it’s Meta, so that sucks, but it’s my happy place online.

Gave my last guest lecture of the semester today … at the start of the semester I hadn’t realised how many I’d said yes to. Turned out 8 of them.

Given there’s 12 weeks in the semester, I may need to watch how much I say “yes” to in future, even though they’re super fun.
