I am 35 in this photo, he is 33. I have this essay stewing in my head about how our generation envisioned our 30s-40s. He was married in his early 20s, I was in a relationship for nine years. They both ended around the same time. I felt like a failure for sure, at the ripe old age of 33.

We're a protein-obsessed culture. Brands are adding it to everything. More convenient to eat it in a bar or powder than make a chicken breast. Meanwhile, we're just out here eating lead.

I've had two thyroid biopsies that were both gruesome, so I'm a VERY BIG baby when it comes to needles near my neck. But this is the side of my neck, so maybe it will be fine. I don't know.

Did it permanently help the clenching or how often have you gone back for repeat treatments?

If anyone out there has gotten botox shot into their muscles for spasms or migraines, share your experience! I'm getting Xeomin shots in my neck muscles next week and I am, you know, excited that it might help me but also...it's botulism and the idea of shots in my neck scare me.
