I didn't know that when you have low B12 and start supplementing, that your body uses more potassium as a result - so if you're like me and not feeling great on B12 supplements, try also taking potassium.

My contribution to Halloween was candy and Pringles in a container on the steps of the front porch. I have no idea if the early people left anything for the late people but hopefully they were nice enough to do that. Covid shot is really starting to kick my ass, not looking forward to tomorrow.

Had the COVID vax today, but thanks to the UCP, had to travel 40 min one way for it. There were people coming in when I was there who wanted the vax but had to be told the soonest possible is Dec. Absolute bullshit.

I've been reading about how my brain is addicted to my ex wife and I didn't want to believe it but after not hearing from her for 2.5 days,said brain was unable to focus, then she texted &things came back online. Fuck. I don't want to talk to her (have to to sort the separation), fucking trauma bond

It's a wild time. It's not the first time we've separated, but it's the first time I was not looking for a way back. I'd been mentally and emotionally pulling away for a while due to the treatment, &honestly just fully done with being treated like that. I was open and honest about it the whole time.

Thank you, me too. I'm realizing that I have never put myself first in all of my life, and that's what has to change in order for my life to change. Not first as in I don't care about anyone else, but first as in I matter.

I've made it a month. It's been a whole month since I left my abusive spouse. How I feel now is a 180 from how I felt then and honestly, most of the time in between.

I won't go back. I'm safe, I'm finding my footing, I'm going to be ok. There are loads of challenges still, but I can do it.

Went to a queer board games night last night and it was really nice. The people were kind and welcoming and I felt at home really quickly. The space itself was great, reminded me of spaces I've hung out in the the past. I think I did a good thing.

The woodsmoke issue has greatly improved, but about once a week so far someone burns something horrible and noxious and I found out it was coming in the dryer vent. So I did a thing. Proud of myself.

The side of my house with an older aluminum dryer vent on the concrete and tan stucco. A long and tangled bright green hose is on the ground along with the new packaged steel dryer vent cap and a yellow and black DeWalt bag with tools sticking out of it. The ground is mostly dry grass.

The old dryer vent cap has been taken off revealing rigid ducting with yellow expandable foam all around. My white toe in a sandal is visible in the foreground. The wall is part concrete and tan stucco above.

The back of the new white steel dryer vent cap is in place. The ducting is visible.

The new white steel dryer vent cap is installed. It is screwed in and caulked with clear caulking.

While thinking about the No Kings protests, I realized something. Trump isn't acting like a king. He's acting like a CEO. This isn't a monarchy, this is late stage capitalism. America is being treated as a business acquisition. He's stripping it for parts before dumping it like a fucking Toys R Us.
