I had a dog and when he was a puppy I refused to buy the Post to use the pages to potty train. I intentionally spent more on the Daily News. The Post isn’t good enough for a dog to pee on.

On this day 225 years ago, John Adams moved into the still-not-quite-complete White House, becoming the first president to occupy it. His blessing was carved into the State Dining Room mantel in 1945: "May none but Honest and Wise Men ever rule under This Roof.”
The sequel to Outbreak begins in 1…2…3….
Unlikely he can find Nigeria on a map. He 💯 has no idea the country of 220m is nearly evenly split Muslim/Christian. He knows nothing about its history and conflicts. He 💯 knows Nigeria has oil and minerals.
Bill Moyers first hand account of LBJ in TN. "I'll tell you what's at the bottom of it. If you can convince the lowest white man he's better than the best colored man, he won't notice you're picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he'll empty his pockets for you."

Someone want to tell Mikey here that 86% of all SNAP benefits go to households that include a child, an elderly person, or a person with disabilities?

Or that almost 40% of SNAP recipients are children?

And that Whites account for 37% of SNAP recipients?
He seems to perpetuate myths and insinuates the poor are only minorities in cities (“ghettos”). Meanwhile too many of the white rural folk who rely on SNAP and Medicaid will suffer and cheer this guy on. LBJ was right. Sad. PS - the party of family values doesn’t give a sh*t about kids.
If it’s as destructive as it could be, USAID would be on the ground to assist. No longer. Hopefully other countries can fill the gap.
Let me guess…she didn’t push back at all and state the facts.
Interference in sovereign matters….hahahaha…much of the world would like a word.
Just search for asbestos and you’ll find the rubble.

The unprecedented anonymous donation, ostensibly to military personnel, raises questions of legality, as it could come from a foreign entity or government looking to curry favor with Trump or his business interests. trib.al/3TU4luY
How is this legal? Why is this not front page news? The fourth estate is not doing its job. For all we know the anonymous donor will expect an ROI by our military.
Trying to coverup history. What are they so afraid of?
Changes to Oklahoma’s curriculum rules make it so teachers aren’t supposed to tell students that the Tulsa Race Massacre of 1921 — a defining incident of racial violence in Oklahoma history — was perpetrated by racists.

I just don’t think most people care. How many actually know this is happening? There is barely any interest or knowledge of history in this country. The only culture too many are interested in is gun culture and returning to the 50s.

So here's something everyone saying "just let him pay the troops" needs to consider.

Giving a President the ability to repurpose money meant for other things towards paying people means giving him the ability to repurpose money meant for paying people towards other things.
Trump's mechanism to pay the troops during the shutdown is by far the most illegal budgetary action he's taken as POTUS, potentially setting the stage to break everything.

It's also needless because Congress would easily pass a troop pay bill if Johnson were willing to gavel in.

Long thread.
DOS lost all credibility.

"The New York Police Department said Saturday afternoon that it had not made any protest-related arrests. The D.C. police also said Saturday afternoon that it had made no protest-related arrests."
Large crowds are gathering across the country on Saturday for a new round of “No Kings” protests against President Trump, amid tensions over a government shutdown, immigration crackdowns and military deployments to fight crime in Democratic-led cities. https://wapo.st/48w1pbA
Too many in this country do not respect the elderly, do not respect their wisdom that comes from a life lived.
