I walked the new trail from Whittemore through IQHQ to the Russell Field entrance to the T to confirm that it is (currently) open, and scrawled it in black onto the @cambridgemass.bsky.social detour map for the Linear Park closure.

Seriously, this open-ended full closure sucks.

Wow, wow, wow. This has always been legally possible but the law has virtually never been enforced — and now this is the SECOND case I've heard of in the last month (first involving a person with a green card) of a noncitizen being charged for failure to carry their papers.
