15 October 1936 | A Dutch Jewish boy, Jacob Vieyra, was born in Rotterdam.

In February 1944 he was deported to #Auschwitz and murdered in a gas chamber after the selection.

Vintage black and white photo of a boy sitting outdoors on a wooden chair, petting a small dog. There is a white picket fence in the background with a garden.

Kings Cross Tunnel
A tunnel with panels that are lit from behind in an ever changing palette of colours; in this photograph they are shades of pink with blues in the distance.
Bought tickets before it had been seen by critics, casting seemed to be on the back of ‘The Split.’

Disappointingly this was the third best Unicorn of the day. The cast were great but it was a script that tried too hard for one liners, that weren’t that funny when they were delivered. The runner up was outside a shop in Hither Green & the winner a small girl’s cycle helmet in Manor House Gardens.
The outside of the Garrick Theatre with posters for Unicorn starring Nicola Walker, Erin Doherty and Stephen Mangan.
Yes there is another meaning of unicorn ….
I’ve sadly seen worse unicorns
Theatre with yellow for play called unicorn
Another 10k for #StrideForGaza2025 for @medicalaidpal.bsky.social - virtually it was from Khan Yunis to Rafah, but took in the autumn colours of Greenwich. #RunningPunks #GreenRunners
A view from One Tree Hill to the Observatory in Greenwich Park, trees with autumnal colours in between. Very grey skies. Aging runner smiling - he is wearing a Stride For Gaza t shirt over a red base layer. Behind are autumnal colours both from leaves on the ground and trees. Autumn coloured leaves and logs on the ground Small tree covered with autumnal colours

‘Drunk’ unicorn, close to Twinkle Park in Deptford.
Pink unicorn rocking horse stood on block paving by green bin with empty sparkling wine bottle next to it.
It makes no sense around central Lewisham, you’d have thought that it would have been a planning requirement to provide. Other boroughs seem more together about these things.

Today’s pic fits all the prompts! #twosday #rockintuesday #bluetue #tidesouttuesday from Haystack Rock in Oregon. Loved this hazy scene of a father and son riding on the beach!
.
#coloraday #eastcoastkin #pnw #landscapephotography
This photo depicts the famous Haystack Rock on the Oregon coast. A large black rock rises out of the ocean, surrounded by smaller, pointed rocks. There is a haze on the water making it look dreamy and slightly blurred. In the foreground, a father and son bicycle across the sand. The tide is out and the beach is shiny with water.
Don’t expect the private sector to provide either - ‘Of the 1,744 homes (on the site of Lewisham Shopping Centre) planned by Landsec, the centre’s owner, just 98 would be for social rent…’

The tide is out at Marazion, Cornwall and people are walking along the causeway to St Michael’s Mount.

The island can only be reached by boat at high tide.
In my photo there are rock pools in the foreground covered in seaweed. People are walking along the causeway or on the sand. In the distance the castle is at the top of the island surrounded by trees, gardens and houses.
The cloudy with patches of blue sky add to the atmosphere of the island.
The castle is topped with a flag.
Cliffs and beach at Sewerby, East Yorkshire #TidesOutTuesday
White crumbling cliffs on the left stretching off into the distance, in front and to the right a beach, the he cliffs it is small chalk pebbles, the rest is a mixture of larger flat rocks, many covered with seaweed and sand. The sea is in the distance and the sky is blue.

Me at Sewerby #parkrun earlier in the year.
Man in neon pink running ‘outfit’ with leopard print on the top. He is standing behind a parkrun sign for Sewerby. Behind the sign but spotted by man to right of shot are pink running shoes.

A predominantly pink rose from Greenwich Park on Saturday
Three pink double roses together with foliage behind and blue skies above.
I’ll try to restrict the number of running selfies in neon pink😂
An easy paced recovery run around Blackheath including a stop off in the old St Margaret’s churchyard. On the 🎧 Ezra Collective - so there was a large amount of air🎺 ‘played.’ #RunningPunks #GreenRunners
A crumbling church tower with an ornate grave in the front, all part of a grassy churchyard. A Victorian church viewed across the grassy graveyard of its much older predecessor. The sky is grey. White anemones with yellow centres against a red brick building. Ageing runner in neon Green squinting into the camera with orange pyracantha behind him.
That’s an impressive week! ☮️

The London Sivan Kovil Temple in Lewisham, a stunningly beautiful building
An ornate building - layers of cream and blue which are covered with mouldings, there is a golden door in the middle.
The fastest #parkrun time since the spring, despite starting far too quickly and fading badly, but still managed first in my age group. Afterwards I had lessons from a 2 1/2 year old on balancing. Cone flinging (set up) before. #RunningPunks #GreenRunners
Autumnal colours on trees with grass to the front Ageing man in pink t shirt looking down towards the camera a tree with autumn colours behind him. Small child attempting to show adult how to balance on a beam. Grass parkland behind.

The ceiling of San Luigi dei Francesi in Rome
An ornate golden ceiling with six windows using a wide angel lens.
Six photos of autumnal berries, a couple of salvias from the garden, a passion flower and a small chicory flower on the Heath that took my breath away.
