Great to host some of our #LochArkaig #ospreycam volunteers at #GlenFinglas

We hold a little thankyou celebration when each osprey season is over, and since the volunteers do their thing online from locations all over the country - it's a moveable party too!

What super weather we had!😎

This fen creation trial by the High Batts team at Pennycroft Quarry is hopefully the start of something much bigger. It's survived a mammoth river flood and prolonged inundation. Adjoining open water is crystal clear and dominated by stonewort beds, suggesting ideal conditions for calcareous fen.

I’m opening my diary for Christmas commissions in case anyone is interested? Something special for someone special? A piece of original art just for you. This one, now sold is of a wrench gazing at some cherry blossoms against a 23 carat gold leaf background on acid free linen bound board.

Just finished @drmjwarren.bsky.social's The Cuckoo's Lea and I absolutely LOVED it. In fact it's one of my favourite reads so far this year.

#Nature, #History, #birds, #language #landscape and more... woven together seamlessly, and so beautifully. Fascinating! I can't recommend it highly enough

Community ownership would foster local participation, skills development, inclusivity and stronger social cohesion.

We hope to help with some native woodland creation.🌳

It’s a very nice feeling to see your book - which at one point early this year you thought might not be published at all - making itself comfortable in beautiful new homes, thousands of miles away.

What happens when a city prioritizes people over cars?

In Haarlem, most streets are now limited to 30 km/h, making walking and cycling not just safer, but more pleasant too. This shift isn’t just about safety; it’s also about space, noise, and quality of life.

Before (2015) / After (2022) the bike lane on Rue de Presbourg, Paris 16. The Place de l’Étoile roundabout is still mainly for cars, but since 2019 there is a bike lane that circles it via Rue de Presbourg and Rue de Tilsitt. The road tunnel under the roundabout is now reserved for bikes as well !

A lot of mobility innovation focuses on making existing options even more comfortable for the most privileged, at the expense of children, the elderly, people with low incomes or disabilities.
