I mean same. I just won’t cook with two buck chuck.

In 5 hours, the annual battle over Christmas Eve seafood night will commence, pitting the plebeians who think it’s acceptable to cook mussels in crap wine against me and my dad who believe you should only cook with wine you would drink.

The noperthedron is the shape we all need for 2026.

It is totally warming my heart how many friends who are home for the holidays are telling me their parents are excited about my book 💖

I put on the Labubu episode to explain Labubus to my sister, left the room when it was over to do something else, then came back an hour later and my parents were watching the autoplaying episodes and in hysterics. 😳

I did not have my parents being enthralled by the current season of South Park on my 2025 bingo card but here we are.

Christmas in DC

Most of my life they didn't go on vacation because they didn't have vacation days and were saving for my college education. Now my dad's retired and my mom is salaried so they travel once a year and I'm glad to be able to do something for them for once.

I have always wanted to be able to send my parents on a vacation to the beach destination they have dreamed of visiting, and this is the year that I can finally do it. 🥰

knowing enough to be able to feel like they can teach effectively under the circumstances.

I see continuities with how we do/do not talk about academic dishonesty and plagiarism but with a side of technology that’s definitions and operations are unclear to people who don’t actually engage with it or scholarly discourse around it… I don’t expect them too but want a middle ground for +

Oh and the reason for trying to do anything related to this mess is students are floundering and many are making some questionable decisions, trust between students and faculty is eroding, and students want conversation and guidance.

Soooo goood. An excellent 6am read.

conversations. As many different kinds as possible since people gravitate to different places. And, to be clear, the baseline I am hoping for is “be able to articulate your position and engage students in a conversation.”

This whole situation is such a mess and I feel like I and several colleagues are in the position of having to try to fix a mess we didn’t make while countermessaging from on high works at cross purposes. My suggestion has been to tap into places where people are comfortable engaging and having +

There is excellent work in this issue and you should read it!

I really need to do that this year.

Sooooo many stories.

May we all look this great and have our memories as intact as his when we are 85.

It's my dad's 85th birthday! I showed him my digital project and he was excited. He recalled memories of Nkrumah's son from their London doctor days and then started naming everyone he knew who was involved in the Bandung conference. Maybe I am not the Welsh nationalist milkman's child after all! 🎈
