We put my little guy in the round pen to free lunge him and he went WILD. Apparently the two mares in heat are making him think he’s still a stallion, even though that ship sailed five years ago. Oh, Flight.

Finally, after countless hours of my life watching Gordon Ramsay on tv… and the waitress told me that he comes to visit a couple times a year, is really nice, and just hops on the line to cook!

Tomorrow I have to deal with the fact that Flight is being kicked out of his herd because he won’t stop terrorizing the new mare — and I am super unhappy with the options because I want him to be in a big pasture where he has to move a lot. Look at this punim. Is this the face of a monster?

I walked my horse through fire today at Mountie school today. We also dealt with explosions and smoke, did drills, and negotiated sirens while approaching and circling a police cruiser. Flight was amazing — even our instructor said so. Four hours in the saddle, and we get to do it again tomorrow!

It's amazing the kind of stuff you find written about you when you are trying to make sure you didn't miss anything for the "media appearances" section of your CV.

Having absolutely no time due to my promotion deadline I offer this and also that the typical CS data/info divide doesn’t take into account Gitelman’s point re: data never being raw. I favor more of a definition like rendering observed phenomena in symbols and also slippage between data and info. +
