Also, what makes a company innocent? If I was reporting that story, questions number one and two to each owner would have been “Did you vote for the guy who was hell-bent on starting a trade war? Did you donate to his campaign?”

It really is like some godawful oldies station right now, with the very worst ideas of the 50s (McCarthyism), 60s (attacks on campuses and inner cities), 70s (Nobel Peace Prizes for war criminals) and 80s (Star Wars plus a decrepit blowhard in the White House)

I took this on Kauai a few years ago. These are red-crested cardinals, and I *love* them.

The bird you saw sounds lovely too! Not a dark-eyed junco, I take it?

I realize this is SO FAR from being the most important thing about this post... but how did they link the text "Download PDF" and "View Full Case"? Is this something you need to do from the API, or is there something I'm missing in the web interface or the app?

This is a superb piece of reporting about the profoundly frustrating, often disturbing and just plain sad situation at Kamloops City Hall.

Absolutely smashing piece. Congratulations to both of you on such thorough reporting, untangling the snarl of accusations and counter-accusations that constitute Hamer-Jackson’s record in office.
