Thinking more and more about how much certain actors are pushing us towards a post-truth, post-data world, a world driven purely by narratives and vibes

It's not good.

Are the Colts warming up by playing Red Rover or something

Also the writing itself is truly atrocious

As someone whose time freelancing for MLSsoccer was a vital step in my career progression, and someone who generally gleans insight from the observations of others:

This sucks so hard.
MLS is using generative AI to write match recaps. Writers used to get paid freelance rates to do that. Hssssss.

The other game, well the goalie was good. The star defenceman was pretty good too. But the star forward...well he was OK and he's not paid to be only OK. I suggest he look to Vancouver's biggest sporting superstar for notes on how to find big moments all on your own.

I've liked Kane's game tonight but not sure he's the guy you want with the zone entry

Really rough night for the Canucks D numbered 29, 57, 27 and 25

Applies to Canucks as well

If these first two games have been any indicator, we’re in for a wild ride this Stars season.

Natural Stat Trick says high-danger chances in the first at 5v5 were 6-1 Oilers.

Feels *at least* that.

Canucks need to find some answers.

So will we call this the BC Series?

There is too much self-pitying from the people responsible for Canada Soccer’s
Olympic drone scandal. Just say what you did, clearly, and say sorry. No throwing others under the bus. Bev Priestman and now Jasmine Mander have failed that test. www.thestar.com/sports/socce...
Bruce Arthur: Canada’s Olympic soccer drone scandal culprits have been playing the pity card to a fault
Bev Priestman's assistant at the Paris Olympics, Jasmine Mander, reveals another layer of incompetence in the Players' Tribune.

Filip Chytil is the first Czech forward to score for the Canucks since Radim Vrbata.

#Canucks Filip Chytil is now in sole possession of 54th all time for goals by a Czechia player in NHL history

#Canucks Kierszenstat of the game: Scoring his 78th career goal, Filip Chytil breaks his tie with Josef Vasicek and is now tied with Petr Prucha for the 54th most goals by a player from Czechia in NHL history.

I cannot say enough how angry Boy Genius is in the press box about the Canucks' PP1 right now.

You can probably guess which forward he wants off of the unit.

Arshdeep Bains' offensive timing may need work but there's no doubt that if he keeps killing penalties like that, he'll stay in the lineup
risingaction.bsky.social
Having now seen two (correct) boarding call reviews, I really think these ones that get a review should simply be announced as "there is a penalty on the play and we are going to review it for severity" instead of calling it a major and then downgrading it.
