I can’t help but think today about how many young people were savaged on social media, branded as anti-semites and abandoned by their schools for daring to call for a ceasefire. I remember saying that it was the first time I can remember that calling for ceasefire was regarded as a hostile demand.

The only violence I’ve been seeing in Portland is from the so-called Feds!!!

Keep sharing these videos; it’s evidence.

What a turnout for the Emergency Naked Bike Ride! It is 53 degrees outside and has been raining off and on all day. That's commitment! So proud of my people for continuing to show up for freedom and justice. #Portland #Antifa

Sub-60’s temperatures and persistent rain has changed the complexion of today’s Emergency Naked Bike Ride in #Portland, but bare butts are out there, and gonads are shivering.

This is why I live in #WarRavagedPortland.

Not content with mobilising people in inflatable frog costumes to face down ICE cops as well as a ukulele orchestra picketing the ICE facilities, Portland today mobilised a naked bike ride to the premises and followed it up with a *marching band dressed as bananas*.

Pope Leo quotes Hannah Arendt:

“The ideal subject of totalitarian rule is not the convinced Nazi or the convinced Communist, but people for whom the distinction between fact and fiction and the distinction between true and false no longer exist."

The Virginia Senate just told UVA it’s not getting state funding if it accepts the compact since UVA exists to serve Virginia, its residents, & their interests—not be a tool of the federal govt. Scoop from our student newspaper, who’ve been doing vital reporting www.cavalierdaily.com/article/2025...
I had no idea.
This is shocking.

My read is that fascists in the Trump Admin had Portland central to their martial law plan — 100% confident they could poke us & get visuals they wanted — and we, incredibly, have denied it to them in the funniest way possible.

It’s honestly an incredible achievement. So proud of Portlanders.
Okay, so I am 100% for animal costumes, dancing, music, or whatever other way people want to protest against ICE, Trump, fascism, or similar.

I think saying that it's "effective" because people dunking online makes me wonder what the fuck people think the end goal of it is.
It’s why have so many farmers markets; there’s no more buildings; vendors have to sell in tents and out of the back of their trucks.
Trump: "Portland, I mean -- every time I look at that place it's burning down. There are fires all over the place. When a store -- there are very few of them left -- but when a store owner rebuilds a store they build it out of plywood. They don't put up storefronts anymore. They just put wood up."
