Anyone buying into the war propaganda about Venezuela is a fucking moron. The lies are dumb even by usual US warmongering standards, and US regime change interventionism is consistently disastrous. People who say they want Trump to remove Maduro are admitting they never grew up.

On the same day that a poll shows the Green Party in front of the Labour Party for the first time - it's time to take on Reform too.

Just a reminder that if @jeremycorbyn.bsky.social had been allowed to win in 2017 (he nearly did) we would have had a good Brexit.
With the slightest changes, accepting Free Movement, the UK could rejoin the Single Market and end about 95% of the damage that Brexit is doing to the UK.

Why don't we just get it done?

When I said we weren't here to be disappointed in Labour but to replace them. I meant it.

Found laughter, I need it.
APPARENTLY it costs the NHS over £300,000 a year to remove foreign objects from people's rectums. Why aren't we removing British objects instead?
Was Brexit all for nothing?

Tax the rich till the pips squeak to curb their purchasing power especially of politicians
But we don't need them or their money
"We can have democracy in this country, or we can have great wealth concentrated in the hands of a few, but we can't have both." –Justice Louis Brandeis

Words spoken many years ago that are just as relevant today.

We must continue the fight to get big money out of politics.
'Government debt' is mythical. No connection with that and MAGA corruption.
There doesn't have to be any fiscal pressure on average Joe. Taxes don't fund public expenditure. MMT says tax the rich hard to curb their purchasing power, especially of politicians.
MMT is just a theory of how the monetary system actually works. It's not a set of policies, although there are 2 that MMT economists support: the Job Guarantee and Zero Rate Interest Policy.

Agree. The US (hence global) economy is in uncharted waters with Trump.
It was not a significant recession despite fears that it would be. And interest rates will be cut next time anyway. MMT says Zero Rate Interest Policy forever because interest rates don't control inflation and strangle the real economy.
Quite happy to see the finance sector binned:-)
Yes, but just like the DotCom bubble it doesn't much affect the real economy. It's house price bubbles that do that because houses are the main collateral for bank loans. The house price crash is due next year. Debts that can't be paid won't be paid.
‘Of course it’s a bubble.’
