fuck off with this shit you racist cunts.

i forgot the word "tumbledryer" the other day so i called it a tumbley bumbley and english is my only fucking language.

abolish the home office.
Changes to the English language requirement were first reported in May when the government published their early plans in the immigration white paper. The new standard requires people to express themselves “fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for expression” and to be able to communicate flexibly in social, academic and work situations.

And the Scottish Greens don't actually have any MPs at Westminster at present anyway.
rebelraising.bsky.social
Funny way to spell "I acknowledge I was persistently wrong and a dick about it" but we are where we are.
rebelraising.bsky.social
There's likely to be a motion to Scottish Greens decision making bodies about it in the next year, yes.
rebelraising.bsky.social
Define "a green party" in ways that don't touch on localism, devolution, social justice and land ownership.
rebelraising.bsky.social
We are not talking about devolved parties. We are talking about separate, different parties, as I have repeatedly said. How many times do you need to be told? Why can't you accept that you're wrong?
rebelraising.bsky.social
What the buttery fuck do you think you're taking about?
rebelraising.bsky.social
My source: I actually know what I'm talking about.
rebelraising.bsky.social
No, it is not. GPEW, the Scottish Green Party and Green Party of Northern Ireland are completely different parties, different legal entities. In the same way that the SNP and Plaid Cymru are not the same party, GPEW and the SGP are not the same party.
rebelraising.bsky.social
The split happened in the 1990s as a result of the Scottish party's embrace of Scottish independence as a policy. The cutting of ties happened a couple of years ago because of unchecked transphobia and meddling in Scotish politics by a bigoted minority in GPEW. I think you're confusing the two.
rebelraising.bsky.social
Correct, though the Green Party of England and Wales is just one of the UK's three Green Parties.
rebelraising.bsky.social
And gender is a lived and embodied experience, so I'm genuinely shocked that you wouldn't think it was a key part of doing that work. The idea that "gender is the concern of effete intellectuals" is very much a capitalist control trope that you seem to have swallowed wholesale.
rebelraising.bsky.social
*sigh* which is why I didn't at any point say unique or exclusive. But carry on not being super interested in one of the key organising features of capitalism/societies in general.

What policy themed visitor trail would you do upon retirement? I would pilgrimage to visit the 100 Rishi Sunak outdoor chess sets around the country. I genuinely think it would be one of those fun random things that would take me to places I’d never otherwise go to
rebelraising.bsky.social
Yes, I do think it's that - it's being told you *should* have power and autonomy, and then not having it. So we need to add "and the patriarchy" into the conversation, rather than making it invisible by not even saying "but this is a mostly male phenomenon".
rebelraising.bsky.social
So why would men feel less able to effect change in their own lives than women when that's objectively not the case?
rebelraising.bsky.social
*sense of entitlement
rebelraising.bsky.social
Then why is it usually men rather than the more actually disempowered gender? Unless you mean "sender of entitlement denied", which isn't the same thing.
rebelraising.bsky.social
Fuck yeah, being a queer person listening to straight "allies" going on about "they're born that way they can't help it" is actually one reason I asked and one reason I think self declaring as an ally should be banned.
rebelraising.bsky.social
Honest question: on the principle of "take out your own trash", should cis people who aspire to be allies accept the invites? I'm inclined to say not, but interested in your take.
rebelraising.bsky.social
Akin to the majority who think they are are more than averagely supportive of migrants: that's the difference between who's heard and what most people think. And that's what causes a rightward drift.
rebelraising.bsky.social
Because I don't agree with you that "people over 30 [or whatever] are transphobic and we should write them off as potential allies". People are, however, starved of the opportunity to learn that plenty of others also aren't transphobic and they aren't alone and weird and can and should speak up.

You were president on January 6, you daft old cunt

I'm 49 and I work in a care home with people over 80. My thinking is based on this and on reading opinion polling.
