In an unreleased game I made, horses and centaurs had their own language known as hoofspeech which involved a lot of body language and stamping. Humans can learn to speak it, and some even speak it as their mother tongue, but the gag was always making my players do horse impressions

The problem is trying to shoehorn 5e. Just make a new system! You don't need to make warlock patrons for a cozy Totoro game. You don't need to include movement rules when the primary thing you're doing is cooking soup for forest spirits.
If it's Nausicäa there are better systems for that lol
