1. Many of you have seen a graph purporting to show trans identification has decreased in recent years.

Matt Walsh and Elon Musk celebrated it as a victory over "transgenderism."

Turns out, the entire graph is based on an egregious math and statistics error.

It’s a little weird seeing people just like, travel to America for fun at the moment, like we’re running out of “I booked everything last year” runway, and that’s the only reason I can fathom doing it at the moment.

Like I know cis white folk are a whole lot safer, but still feels so risky.

ChatGPT boss predicts when AI could cure cancer We made ChatGPT pretty restrictive to make sure we were being careful with mental health issues. We realize this made it less useful/enjoyable to many users who had no mental health problems, but given the seriousness of the issue we wanted to get this right. Now that we have been able to mitigate the serious mental health issues and have new tools, we are going to be able to safely relax the restrictions in most cases. In a few weeks, we plan to put out a new version of ChatGPT that allows people to have a personality that behaves more like what people liked about 4o (we hope it will be better!). If you want your ChatGPT to respond in a very human-like way, or use a ton of emoji, or act like a friend, ChatGPT should do it (but only if you want it, not because we are usage-maxxing). Miss Major Griffin-Gracy passed away today according to the House of GG. She was a veteran of the Stonewall rebellion and a lifelong organizer for the safety and dignity of trans people, sex workers, and the incarcerated. She came from the same generation and milieu as Marsha and Sylvia. She was 78.

It’s why I will forever call myself a designer instead of a developer, even if that’s not exactly my job title (admittedly, neither of them are my job title) because I work within the structures and guiding principles of the design process, code is a material, like brass or wood, I’ve learnt to use.

Like I meet people all the time who want to learn to code and it’s just like, girl just start doing it, make a website for yourself figure out how to write a script to do that task you want, play around with things, google, materially, it’s a spectacularly accessible hobby.

I hate the term developer, partly because I can’t help but associate it with Steve Balmer and like, Stallman misogyny, but also because I think it builds up this magical kind of arcane art of programming, like you need to read some tome or do some course in order for code to work for you, nah girl.
