“Stop, [[STOP!!]]— Ant, stop.” Somehow it feels like the harder Spamton tries to retake control of the situation, the faster it begins to slip through his fingers. “It was my fault that you were in that [3rd position] to begin with, alright? You don’t have any [[Ramapo fault]] in—”

“Well that’s not what it sounds like, is it!?” Tenna snaps back unexpectedly, the sound of it like shattering glass, more than enough to cut Spamton short completely. “You don’t get to go off about how hard all of this was on you, how hard it was because of me, and then shoulder all the blame, alright!? All this martyring you’re trying to do to yourself... How the hell do you think that makes me feel!?”

Another deafening silence follows. The weight of what Spamton knows — of what Tenna doesn’t know — threatens to crush him outright.

A companion piece to a picture posted yesterday: Ryuhiko stands before a place of divinity, imbued with the light of the living while clutching a relic of some kind; it glows in his hand, and his mother is perched upon the opposite in the form of the bluebird as though guiding him. Her face is barely readable, but her mouth is open as though screaming and crying in discontent.
Both pictures were inspired by a line spoken by Ryuhiko's husband, that he cannot spend the rest of his life apologizing to his mother. And yet, he may.
