So I’ve started to add arms into my anatomy practice. The faces definitely have some expressions in them I need to work on, and I can still get more detailed on arms to really bulk out characters in a cape story, but we’re moving in the direction I want to. It’s a search for mastery, and I would also like to say I did these faces with no reference, which is a big no no to getting g them right, especially in the beginning. Onwards and upwards punks and comic nerds!

Hey! Anyone that’s kept up here is aware I’ve been working on drawing skills and have focused on faces mostly. Here’s some of my latest practice drawings. We’re about two weeks in now and it feels like a lot of improvement has happened as I practice and look at real people’s faces to analyze them and see things I can fix.

Okay, no clue where I am in number of days, but here I am following up on eyes and faces. I can see that there is still improvement happening from working on these daily. I will probably not do the eyeballs everyday moving forward, and make room for working on arms, legs, and other anatomy aspects. The last two photos are from today, the others from Thursday. Goals here? To get better. For my pencils to reflect what I want to see when I draw. I want to be able to draw muscle bound superheroes, not just average people.
