Describing a character's house that doesn't have a canon house shown is so fun...I love thinking about living spaces...

Keep picturing Spock in miniskirts vs Tuvok in his ankle-length dresses....70's child vs schoolmarm

Sulu: Ensign, are you going to disobey a direct order?

Tuvok: -looking up 'how to install spyware for dummies'- Of course not, sir.

Listened to the newest ep of the Khan podcast and it's so funny that Sulu had Tuvok try to track Dr. Lear and mirror her logs etc etc.....sir....that is a Science Ensign.

How it feels turning Tuvok's children into four whole ocs when only one appears in canon and he says like 3 sentences

Writing Tuvok & his family is always so fun I get carried away and have to delete paragraphs of chit chat. Remember this if you read any of my family fics and think "This is so much chit chat" - It could be worse. I'm sparing you.

Was thinking about awkward AOS Sarek and Kirk shuttle rides and can't believe I never posted my awkward TOS Sarek and Kirk brunch art here
Movie era Jim says to Spock, "Why did you invite your father to space brunch, you know I can't hold a conversation with him." Jim, Sarek, and Spock sitting at brunch. Spock gets up, saying, "Please excuse me, I must relieve myself." Jim and Sarek sitting in silence at brunch. Jim starts to say, "Sooo Sarek, hows it-" Sarek cuts him off, saying, "We don't have to talk."

bonus Baby Tuvok Tail, creds to @probabbea.bsky.social for the iconic Baby Tuvok hairstyle
Little Tuvok politely holding a plant. He has his hair tied in a tuft on his head and his tail is shaved into tufts as well.

Tuvok is so mpregable....and so is AOS Spock apparently. Don't worry Spock-O I'll make sure you reproduce as many times as you think necessary 😈

Honestly TOS Spock was born to be a weird distant aunt you wish would come around more often.

It was 'Innocence' - one of my favorite episodes~!
probabbea.bsky.social
Spock doesn't seem (from what I've seen, feel free to correct me!) to have a single parental bone in his body whereas Tuvok had an episode where he was no joke ready to adopt some alien kid he met like A day ago.

No I get it I also love comparing Vulcans and you're absolutely right - Tuvok nearly has a heart attack when he hears she isn't in any extracurriculars. He's the type of person who tells you you need to start looking into good kindergartens while you're pregnant.

From 'Over a Torrent Sea' - T'Pel treating Tuvok like a broody hen is so funny to me. "Maybe if I give him two new babies he'll stop being so sad..."
Tuvok, looking disheveled, says "Until I was forced to cope with an emotion as profound as this...my grief over the death of my son." There is an altar behind him. Presumably his son Elieth's.

Tuvok looks up, brow furrowed. The ghost of his son appears faceless behind him, obscured by sorrow. "My regret at not being with him at the end, having so many things to say that will never be said."

Tuvok spins around to face his wife. We don't see her but instead focus on his face which is pained to the point that his eyes are teary. "What if it were you, T'Pel? If we returned to Titan and I lost you...I do not believe I would be able to function. As an officer...or as a man."

Tuvok looks away as he confesses this, perhaps ashamed of what he knows is a clearly emotional sentiment.

T'Pel stares at him, very unimpressed. The word 'CRINGE' is written in bold all caps behind her, incredibly large. T'Pel, Tuvok's wife, considers bringing up the possibility of adoption to Tuvok. Within her thought bubble, Tuvok is despondent and disheveled, unable to move through the grief of losing their son. She reasons then that giving him more babies to take care of might help restore him to the calm, dignified man she knows him to be.

She then thinks of Tuvok's potential reaction to such a suggestion. In her imagination, Tuvok is depicted as swarmed by darkness, radiating pure hatred. Thinking this, T'Pel decides against bringing the idea up but appears blandly exasperated rather than concerned.

This is backed up via a quote from the novel which is written from the POV of another crew member who was attempting to comfort Tuvok by relating to his grief.

"He broke off, since what he saw in Tuvok's eyes gave him a keener understanding of just what it was inside of Vulcans that was so frightening they felt they had to keep it buried at all costs.

'With all...due respect for your loss,' Tuvok said stiffly, 'it is not comparable. You did not lose a child.'"

Further down the page is T'Pel swooning over Tuvok, hearts surrounding her as her eyes sparkle. Tuvok is framed nobly by flowers and has a determined expression on his face (though he still appears tired and disheveled). T'Pel thinks he's starting to sound like his old self again, making a quick yet resolute decision to rejoin Titan and even get there early to set an example!

Tuvok/T'Pel moment From 'Fallen Gods' ... I literally love them so much. The fact Tuvok didn't come rushing to her side despite knowing she didn't need his help is a "something MUST be wrong..." moment for T'Pel. Beautiful and Correct.
The sof'el'itju training T'Pel had received during childhood prevented her from falling as the deck shifted beneath her feet. Being a Vulcan - for whom the maintenance of calm and self-possession was a cultural norm - she experienced no panic as her body strove to reorient itself despite the sudden darkness that accompanied the unexpected motion. She was concerned, however, by the failure of Tuvok to come to her aid. The fact that she needed no such assistance was immaterial; it was Tuvok's nature to offer it, required or not.

As abruptly as it had begun, the motion ceased. At about the same moment, the room's illumination returned to its previous intensity.

What she saw taxed her veneer of Vulcan tranquility nearly to its breaking point.

"Tuvok," she cried, hastening to where he lay on the floor, unmoving, his eyes closed. She knelt beside him and took his hand. Grasping his wrist, she noted that his pulse was strong, though irregular. "I will call sickbay, my husband."
