They don't. They have ideas of progression that most people, even those that are bigoted, wouldn't agree with. Using nostalgia and rose tinted glasses is an easy vote getter for those with survivors bias, who won't understand they were hoodwinked
Did you let them know that the only policy they will genuinely stick to is scrapping net zero? Farage has said many times he doesn't think his policies on migration are workable & that he can't promise 0 migration

If the only way you'll ever hear someone call out Nigel Farage's destructive, divisive politics on the BBC is for me to do it, then so be it.
Watch @EdDavey.LibDems.org.uk call out the BBC for their failure to hold Nigel Farage to account.
I'm honestly surprised more people haven't pointed out it will exacerbate period poverty? Lack of public toilets is a huge concern; if you're unable to use the facilities when accessing work/education this is a contributing factor to non attendance.
I hear you, but 2 of our biggest political parties are hitched to the Trump wagon & they have just launched a policy criminalising homeless & disabled people
Right now, as a disabled woman, I don't want my identity used as a point. It's frightening tbqh
At a guess: JC isn't playing the cultural football war
He's spoken out about both those issues as an MP
If he initially launches a party on that platform he will be lampooned by the nasty press.
As it stands they'll do that anyway, but it's harder to say we don't need new houses in a shortage

Doesn't the circle with the little cross = woman? I would be reading that circle thing as for anyone's use.

Most people are not going to get what any of that means
Problem is they will just assume it's Labour cuts instead of council incompetence

I can almost understand the idea about the law not being intended for self-ID. But many trans people are forced into that by being denied healthcare through years of waiting and transphobic GPs and a ridiculously overblown GRC process.

EHRC commissioner calls for trans people to accept reduced rights
Akua Reindorf said law never permitted self-ID, but trans campaigners call remarks ‘profoundly unhelpful’

Don't even think it was pro Islam, it was more, why are the MPs for my party wasting time on a nonsense issue?

I think Lowe left for similar reasons, that policy wasn't being discussed properly
There is a massive part of "transvestigation" that is just targeting women of colour

This week, I am presenting my Gaza Inquiry Bill to uncover the truth about this country’s complicity in genocide.
Which is why we need more "red Labour" members to stay and vote in membership elections, push for policies and go to meetings! If only blue Labour is left they're just talking to themselves
Labour: If we do these policies and they go badly, people will stop wanting them!

Reform voters: Why are liebour ruining the country? I'm voting Reform!

(based on actual conversations I've had where I'm saying, these are the policies you are voting for. Just no idea)

Considering "biological fact" is seen as trans activism, to these people, they are 🙃
This is a good point, it does seem to be mostly older folk with these views. Does make me quite cross as a younger person...I feel like my adulthood I haven't had the same freedoms and am being chastised for being "unpatriotic". Utterly frustrating
I hope so 🤞 I wonder if it's hitting the MSM how damaging their economic policies would be
My concern is this isn't being said so prominently other than in media read by people who are mostly likely not voting Reform :/ they are a bit like Trump, they say so much that they almost become a "blank slate" to their supporters. Or "they don't mean that, or if they do, they don't mean me"
Margaret Attwood actually based it on real world examples where similar situations had happened to women, though she primarily expected it to be evangelical America, not UK...
