Learned that an anonymous outside expert on submersibles did an interview with the OceanGate Titan investigation, and they released a transcript, with all the names redacted. The first line of his first answer? "I'm sure you're familiar with my film Titanic."

11 Q. So how did you get yourself started into submersible
12 operations?
13
A.
Well, I'm sure you're familiar with my film Titanic.
When I
14
set down the path to make that film, the first thing that I did
15
was arrange to be introduced to the head of the submersible

program at the P.P. Shirshov Institute in Moscow, a guy named

Professor
I. I did that through a mutual friend

of ours, a guy named
, who is one of the preeminent
underwater cinematographers in the world. And had been on a
20
submersible expedition out to Titanic the previous year with the
21
Russians. And that was organized by a Canadian company that was
22 doing an IMAX film which was released under the title Titanica.

i had a dream last night that i was in the military and all the big strong military men used me like a mop to clean the floors. Okay.
(because they had just sold out when i arrived today)
i’d say if you’re in hawaii and you go to Tex drive-in, definitely do not get the burgers, but the fries were delicious and i’ll be returning for malasadas
looking away from it you can tell it’s general size and shape but you can’t see like, the hubble pic or anything
rooster just crowed at 2am go back to sleep bitch
it turns out you can also just kind of see Andromeda, but it’s not nearly as obvious. In fact, I kind of have to look away from it to see its dim light, like an old CRT TV that just got turned off. The pictures show something similar to looking directly at it — i.e. you can’t see the galactic disk.
Andromeda galaxy (M31) circled in a bright/gray sky photo. Cassiopeia is just above the visible treetop, forming an M whose left triangle points at M31. Darker sky photo, without a circle around M31, which is located slightly up and left from the center of the image. Cassiopeia, the easiest way for me to find M31, is visible just down and right from the center of the image Same thing: different tree same photo framing except zoomed
now to go nebula hunting

not quite, but the steam was gorgeous
Kilauea from relatively close up. Not sure if this was like 1000 feet or a mile. This is a long exposure so it looks brighter than it was. Kilauea from relatively close up. Not sure if this was like 1000 feet or a mile. This is a long exposure so it looks brighter than it was, but it really did get much brighter during this photo! Kilauea from relatively far away. This is definitely at least a mile, because I had to drive 1 mile to get here. The steam around the volcano has formed an accidental ring, being lit in deep red against a background of stars. The Sagittarius teapot in particular is pretty visible — I could see the milky way but my camera couldn’t. Kilauea from relatively far away. More like didn't see turtles am I right
damn hilo kinda rocks
truly i am blind as fuck
a sea turtle sleeping on the beach where i almost touched him with my shoe. sorry buddy! he is on a normal sandy beach with giant lava rocks two sea turtles literally right next to where i was walking before. they are on a big lava formation near white gravel that sounds clinky like seashells when you walk on it. all of the turtles are sleeping near a huge tide pool. 6 sea turtles are visible encircling the tide pool. I later saw a 7th but didn’t take a picture. the one closest to the water is moving closer to the ocean, not that you can tell.
i almost stepped onto/into a sea turtle and i was like “OH FUCK wow how did i not notice that!” and then i backtracked and discovered that i had stepped within 1 foot of 7 separate sea turtles
