Iain Duncan Smith says when Maccabi played a game in Istanbul there was no trouble at all

@ianbyrnemp.bsky.social had to point out UEFA moved the game to Hungary after the Turkish authorities refused to stage it &the Hungarian authorities then played it behind closed doors. Hence no trouble
Think it was refreshing to see one claiming to be a scal, after getting lumbered with the Rees Moggs and Michael Howard!
The best MP football fib was Zahawi's. Truly baffling!

The comparison ends where this lot lack an economic plan. The far right in the 1930s allied their politics to a clear economic intent, this mob have nothing beyond the already super wealthy grabbing more cash and assets amid the chaos their politics causes.

The democratically elected Chilean president, Salvador Allende, died during a military coup led by Gen. Augusto Pinochet

What role did footballers play in resisting Pinochet's dictatorship in #Chile?

Find out in my book, The Defiant: A History of Football Against Fascism
Had a mooch and a pint. Nice to see the area so busy. Wish they'd lost 🤣
Literally the neighbours now!

Just had a couple of days over on the naXi gaff. Blimey!
