The England fans not too happy with Tuchel's comments about atmosphere

"Thomas Tuchel, we'll sing when we want"

"Are we loud enough for you"

Now: "Tuchel give us a wave"

A recurring theme of my adolescence and young adulthood
Terrace behind the goal at a football stadium with a tree in the middle of it. Three men in hi vis vests on the right at the top of the terrace, the goal on the far left.

Big fan of trees inside football grounds

My dad is the nicest, kindest, jolliest man I've ever met. He's 89 on Wednesday. Dementia is getting to him, but what's really striking about him is how very pleased he is with the world. And he's packed a lot into in. Not much of it very exciting, but a lot nevertheless. He's a walking green flag.

What’s ONE green flag about your father?

One of my kids duvet covers has got a zip, and that's a whole fresh circle of hell

Oh definitely, but I just wish they'd come up with a better solution by now

Totally, in fact the last time I heard it was brass band playing it in Horsham town centre. County anthem, innit.

I'm not usually a stickler for rules of this type, but it should be the law that all Sussex teams have to run out to Good Old Sussex By The Sea.

My biggest criticism of Worthing FC is the quality of their songs.
twoht.bsky.social
Okay. I am taller than that

I am not in the Premier League

I only do non league, so not usually more than £10-£15 or so. Always a 3pm kickoff.

As a coda to this story, they got off at Southwick, the same stop as me (I was going round my mates house), and dad IMMEDIATELY lit a fag up on the platform, fucks given = 0, absolute scenes

There was also a daughter, but she was keeping an appropriate distance and fiddling with her phone.
