Someone found the heat vent
Photo of a cat named Wyrm sitting in front of cardboard scratch box that’s blocking a heat vent. The background room is decorated for Halloween with a deep violet light

Theme of this year’s calendar will be whatever that month makes me think of, I dunno man??? Get off my back, mom???

They will be perforated so you can use the image as a postcard tho

I don’t know where I am with my own work, usually when I do a calendar it kind of solidifies where I’m at for the year but this year I’m just kind of scrambling. Seems appropriate.

I’m doing a wee little pop-up at my friend’s studio shop this Saturday!

11-5 at Sage and Thistle Handmade Goods (2a rogers road, Toronto)
A handlettered promo poster for my next event! It reads:
Britt Wilson
Pop 👻 up!
at
Sage
and Thistle
Oct 18th!!

The little ghost in the middle is in a pink burst shape. And his smile has himbo vibes. The background is black, the lettering is white and there are glowing white sparkles everywhere which is a gimmick I do to fill up blank spaces and is probably becoming too much of a crutch at this point if I’m being honest.

God isn’t that the way, you do the signs because I’m you know you should but whatever verbiage you use will confuse the few people who read it. Every. Time.

I can sit on this in so many ways

God that's so rough, I wonder who made it and for how much 🫠

It’s zero shade to crochet, as I also enjoy doing it, but the market is flooded! I expect to see more of those style of easy-entry crafts
pamwishbow.bsky.social
At my local one there’s a lot of people making stuff that I don’t think necessarily has a market, like she said with the resin, and while I would take that over the dropship it still hurts to see the eagerness of a bad economy
pamwishbow.bsky.social
I’m more on the craft and zine fair size of things and I can absolutely confirm. It kills me to recognize even gold plated $$ jewelry pieces are just the same handful of designs put in their own branding

A lot of the things Swell said reminded me of how things felt around 2008 economy wise, craft/makers markets are going to get a lot of people trying to make money any way they can and giving it a try. I think that’s also an issue here. I wish there was a new Etsy to lean on during it.

if pep boys said that now the pep boys could call you up and talk sexy to you you wouldn't think that pep boys was doing really well, as a company

Now, more than ever, you have to be a weird little pervert who makes art of questionable quality. You need to be driven crazy by the flesh. Because, as we all learned from Cronenberg's The Fly, the computers are not made crazy by the flesh. They can't do it like us.

I suspect a crow gifted us a dead rat today

I think a little more than two weeks out and my lower back is on the mend enough where I can sit down without fidgeting too much, thank god

Even on just a person to person level I think locals seeing each others faces is the best scenario
