We’ve met with Greta Thunberg and others in the flotilla. They describe hours-long scenes of torture and sexual harassment in Israeli captivity. Experts conclude that they have been subjected to serious crimes – Sweden’s foreign minister believes they have themselves to blame.

What an album this is, by the way.
Happy 45th to Talking Heads Remain In Light.
Deborah Griscom Passmore is excelling herself here. Exquisite!

Yeah, I saw people (on here, largely) bigging it up and found it a bit nothing, even though I largely agreed with the content of it. People just are desperate, want a shiny new toy, and like saying "breath of fresh air", I suppose.
I was recommended to sit in the restaurant carriage by some guys I met at a Kino bar last night... however, I was also told that on the newer trains that the food isn't as good. This is a very modern train. I'll wander up there in a bit though.
I'm on a Trans-Europa Express (TEE). AMA.

It was always a massive risk for Liverpool to spend so, so much money for a player without an outstanding physical attribute.
Living the Vienna life.
A photo of a coffee on a table. There are 2 books next to the coffee. The first is Sanity, Madness and the Family by R.D. Laing and A. Esterson. The second is Venus in Furs by Leopold von Sacher-Masoch.

Does anyone have any recommendations for Vienna and/or Prague?
This is true, but needs to be considered in the context to wider historical material conditions, imo (standard Marxist line, I know, I know). The vision of the likes of Kendall aren't just unpopular but just do not even try to meet the socio-economic issues that the world currently faces.
Mary Daisy Arnold was cooking here. A late career masterpiece from one of the foremost painters of fruit of the early 20th century.

I used to live with the grandson of the guy who invented Ibuprofen. He was "fairly woke", I'd say. A nice guy! I can imagine him using any sway he's got in preventing an anti-woke turn.
I hope you've not got 'geographic tongue'. I've had it recently. Very annoying.
Outrageously cynical and damaging.
"So, at this point, the story began to change. [...] The concern was that if [donors' identities] were made public, it would leave [them] open to anti-Semitic abuse from Corbyn supporters.""
So, at this point, the story began to change. Labour’s lawyers were informed that another reason the donations hadn’t been declared was because one of the main donors, the high-profile Jewish entrepreneur and philanthropist Trevor Chinn, had given several gifts of £12,500. The concern was that if this fact were made public, it would leave him open to anti-Semitic abuse from Corbyn supporters.
You wouldn't bat an eyelid if it was made today. If anything it is too dark and radical to be made today.
I've got one more day working in Grays and I'll be back in London after that (other than my days at uni). These commutes have been one of the most difficult things about what is already a very intense course.
Share your favourite black and white film.
Shot from M (1931).
Today is the last day I'll ever have to go to work in Chelmsford. No disrespect to Chelmsford, but that can only be a good thing.

Love this one! The sweat patches on the manager really add something too.
