went to that Waffle gaff in Herne Hill. It was ok* friend who went with been raving about it for months. Not much space like and reserving judgement 'RuPaul' punning menu in terms of vocabulary but I'd probs go back.

spent afternoon with American friend ( whose lived in Londres nearly as long as I have) who popped over to visit. Chatted about loads of stuff but I've clearly not being paying enough attention to *quite* how bad things are there.

*named after incident at London Bridge where he climbed on this delivery vehicle to better view (not direct) the Everton mob battling their way towards Millwall. All the hoolie cameras turned to point at Len (then in his 60s) seemingly directing the violence.
*Len "the general*" is weeks from dying but always remember him at away games with "I left in the 80s but still have my Bootle accent" saying "sit the fuck down lads".
