I'm Oliver, a queer and disabled artist/writer based in the UK. I love to paint with ethereal lighting and playing with lost edges.

Whilst my illnesses are too severe for work, I still take part in charity projects and mutual aid (see below) and happy to be invited!

I'm just a Dan who is sharing what I draw with pens and paper on my personal art journey. Art is what I do to process my feelings about and escape from the world for a bit in the evenings and on weekends.

Pen drawing that is mostly black and white focused on a humanoid figure with many different organic growths coming out of their back that contain eyes, while the upper part of their face is covered by a solid plate that has the skin of the lower part of the face connected to it by rivets. The rest of their body is covered by strange techno-organic growths and in the background is another figure reclining and holding their hands above their head into the arched walls that frame the scene. The surrounding area makes an oval portal like shape that filled with a yellowish hue and a number of orange ringed elongated eye like shapes with white centers with black filaments.

I think as well people think we're like, putting a gun to people's head lol. Ultimately it's their choice! But if they feel guilty when they see our encouragement and don't take advice to make it easier and take it personally, maybe that's a sign they aren't quite exempt from being able to?

I've mentioned many times that I require alt text with my visual problems and pain. I will often need to read the alt text when using a filter on my phone and will turn it off if the artwork sounds safe for me to look at for a longer time. So I do prefer to share posts that have it!

I also would kindly ask not to use 'likes' as a means to debate in my replies. Sapling and I are advocating for accessibility, not if using alt text gets us more numbers.

You can just title your pieces in a Google doc and search for the title, it's extremely efficient. I think as well if people are more concerned about dropping art quickly and things are 'buried' that's a problem artists are having with art shares tbh, to rush for a spotlight than support each-
