And like this. Turns out this was our first turn east but we didn’t figure that out before heading south for a while and coming back. Oh, and we got rained on here.

We encountered a bunch of young heifers on a hike in National Forest land up by Hector, NY, last fall who were FASCINATED by the dogs while my dogs were losing their ever loving minds and the only access to the trail was through where they were clustered at the gate. bsky.app/profile/octo...

So that hike was supposed to be four miles and ended up more like eight because the Forest Service can’t blaze their trails for shit. Also we were followed by cows

Rocky Knob was pretty good although we definitely had some spots where the trail markings were a bit vague and there were also grazing cattle on part of it that at least didn't want to fight or follow the dogs like the last time we encountered cows on trails.
