I needed new work pens.....

I don't drink anymore, but it's the hunters moon, so I had a little wine with cheese and fruit with my spoopy movie choices, at the end of which there was a discord discussion on witchcraft I had to bite my tongue. Y'all, I have STRONG opinions. Especially after a glass of wine. Going for a walk.

I feel like Nightbreed was written after Clive Barker stayed in Alberta for a few weeks and went "This place SUCKS!". This is just scathing commentary on the whole province. To which I agree.

Apparently it's a Clive Barker night. Lord Of Illusions (what a great time this was, a spooky evil gay named Butterfield, gorgeous Famke Jensen, and Scott Bakula doing his best Harry Dresden) followed by the director's cut of Nightbreed.

Watching The Conspiracy from 2012 before I go enjoy the sunny autumn weather. This is a creepy slow burn about a secret government cult, in the style of a documentary, but definitely not boring.

Ended up busy this week so I didn't get to starting the Halloween series, but I watched Monster Squad (1987). Loved the sets and costumes, but it's very of it's time, with peeping toms, kids swearing, liberal use of "homo" and f-bombs. I really want that treehouse though.
