I had two identical packs… so the second time I did it, I did that piece much later… when there were three solid uprights to put it on… and it was easy.

It was just bad planning on their part. I’m wondering if A.I. wrote it and forgot about gravity…

I actually went ahead and did this.

As it must be obvious to everyone but me… the top plank did not levitate in a perfectly balanced horizontal position waiting for its supports to be put in at either end…

I spent this morning making flat packed furniture and I did something amazingly incompetent.

The instructions said to attach two planks by a single screw such that one is basically levitating in this position…

The trickle of BA.3.2.2 samples from Western Australia has continued.

While the frequencies of this variant are still quite low, it’s ongoing spread (likely to many thousands of infections by now) gives it every opportunity to acquire the mutations it needs to succeed.

XFG.* "Stratus" was higher at 73%.

NB.1.8.1 "Nimbus" fell to 18%.

England is now experiencing a significant COVID wave, after 10 months of relative quiet.

"If someone says they are in bed with flu, it’s almost certainly COVID, given that the number of people admitted to hospital for COVID last week was 50 times higher than the number admitted for flu!"

The chart shows weekly hospital COVID admissions per 100,000 population in the UK from May 2023 to September 29, 2025, based on UKHSA data.

Autumn 2023 peak reached around 6 per 100k.

Winter JN.1 peak followed early 2024 (~5 per 100k).

Several 2024 peaks occurred mid-year before dropping.

A 10-month stretch of low, stable levels lasted through late 2024 to mid-2025.

A new Sept 2025 wave shows a sharp upward climb approaching prior peak levels.

There are also studies concluding HEPA in aged care don’t work, and CO2 levels in daycare don’t help. All suffer similar problems.

Note HEPA is not connected to CO2. CO2 level utility should also not be discarded in a similar manner.

Fresh air is good for you. Filtered air when the air outside is too yucky.
