Was maybe going to get a train to Neuss or Cologne, but bailed and have spent the morning wandering around MGB. Saw some things. Looked for UK plug adapters because I’m an idiot. Got shouted at in German. Bought a Currywurst.

Major evolution in the GZDoom community tonight - the regular contributors finally had enough of the project lead, who had been very hard to work with for a long time. He dug in and told them "If you don't like it, go and make your own fork."

I agree, I went ahead and booked it :) I'd be fine to navigate public transport normally, but I need to be nice to myself. It's expensive but it's a small extra spend on top of the total cost of the trip really.

I get in to Düsseldorf about 20:30. Given that I'm feeling a bit crappy, I'm sorely tempted to book a 30 minute taxi transfer directly to my hotel instead of fucking about with trains and local taxis for an hour or more. #Amiga40
