No offense, I'm glad I didn't see the art until after I read the story. They're far more Lancer: HORUS styled in my head. However, the official mecha art is just so 🌶️

I struggle w/ this paragraph. I've cut it, added it back, changed tense, and changed PoV. It's a darling that needs the axe and reanimation somewhere else but I haven't come to terms with that yet.

It was initially thought clone owners might want a place to grieve while escorting their 𝑝𝑟𝑜𝑝𝑒𝑟𝑡𝑦 to be mulched and fed to fungi farms. That was an extravagance later removed from similar facilities but a key reason I chose this place once I bribed the right officials. #WIPSnips

I suppressed a giggle and the desire to fling myself among the soft sheets and pillows. It was so easy to slip from the confines of society when she was near, whispering her desires in a firm voice.
