maybe the craziest play in postseason baseball history

The property taxes of broadway are realistic to the value of the properties there. JBJs is listed at $130m. Margaritaville went for $75m. If you want places for smaller businesses to thrive than you need to build more places for them not put an artificial limit on height. fox17.com/news/local/s...

Titans fired Mike Vrabel because he wasn't a great fit with Ran Carthon. Then they fired Carthon. Now they've fired the guy who replaced Vrabel. At some point, it's the hirer and not the hires.

If our baseball team can go to Austin and not lose then our city can step up to the plate and not lose to CM Ellis and Austin’s appropriately sized governmental body just absolutely cooking us on making neighborhoods better.

We just passed a City initiative to make it easier for neighborhood cafés like Rosy’s to open across Austin.

Rosy's is a perfect example of how walkable neighborhood spaces help people connect, build community, and combat isolation.

Taking the 3 to the 18 is something that people do and getting the 18 to be an express bus is going to make the experience even better. It was an easy trade off for me(not for everyone) to walk the 25 minutes from the 18s stop w my gear. Big fan of saving $36.

Great group of people to learn from.

Not at this time. All the high frequency routes in Nashville go to downtown though and in the near future more options will be available.

BRING IN THE CAVALRY.

Chief Sussman and Mayor O’Connell are bringing an appropriation forward of 5mm to make it happen. Some operational stuff needs to be worked out with WeGo/AA.

We don’t have enough buses to do it tomorrow but the cavalry is on order.

Obviously Metro Nashville taxpayers need to partially fund a new head coach for the Titans.
neilkornutick.bsky.social
Would the state and metro have differing opinions on going for a defensive or offensive minded coach?

Anyway, I forgot to do a bus selfie because I was having such a conversation learning about and hearing the struggles of food delivery downtown. Even missed the 18 that saved me $36 bucks that I’m going to put back into the local pizza economy. A 55 was right behind though.

Once you get a the way in the back, you’re met with a basic bench and WeGo sign. No way to know when the bus is coming unless you’re a nerd like me with the transit app. No explanation of the cost or how tap to pay is available. I helped answer those ?s

Then when you get to the garage, you gotta walk past all of the ride share vehicles. Cheapest one to get me home would have been about $30+ tip. Have to walk ALLLL the way past that to the very back of the garage.

Gotta head downstairs and outside into the garage, passed the privately owned but metro regulated taxis

You get your bag and it’s not on this level, that’s for the people who parked or are getting picked up.

The bus in Austin, just like buses in other peer cities will drop you off and pick you up right at the terminal. I grabbed a pic when we were walking to get our rental car. Let’s do a wayfinding adventure in Nashville

You give one guy a newspaper .com login and then he just goes around finding out all the context on why things are the way they are.

I do really like that they are talking about transit. I also really like the fact that people are coming to the realization that a transit system does in fact currently exist and people use it. Some even live lives without cars right now.
